Clive Butkow is the former Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Accenture South Africa, with 28 years management consulting experience. During his tenure at Accenture (formally Arthur Anderson and Anderson Consulting), he played numerous leadership roles, including Managing Director of Accenture’s Technology business as well as Managing Director of Accenture’s Resources business.
Clive is currently the CEO and co-founder of Conducive Capital along side Mitchan Adams co-founder of Ozow and CEO of Venture Builder Aions Creative Technology, a disruptive digital technology Venture Capital Fund (VC) located in Johannesburg, a newly formed, majority black-owned, South African venture capital company investing in early- and growth- stage disruptive technologies that are post-revenue, capital efficient, good unit economics with product market fit, and have the ability to scale their businesses both locally and globally.
Conducive Capital aims to improve diversity in the early and growth stage investment sector as well as develop the next generation of black woman venture capitalists.
He is also involved in fund raising, sales and other business building activities, and is actively involved in the entrepreneur ecosystem in South Africa as well as looking for new tech companies to invest in.
Clive has faced many failures over the years and has a great story to tell in building small to large empires, as well as his own career journey in losing businesses and trust from start ups in helping them grow, and how he has taken what he has learnt in making a difference in the tech space and empowering women start ups.
