Optimizely Named 4x Leader in 2023 Gartner Magic Quadrant for DXP

Bluegrass Digital, an Optimizely Silver Solution Partner, is thrilled to announce that Optimizely has been named a Leader in the 2023 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Digital Experience Platforms (DXP) for the fourth consecutive year. This prestigious recognition reaffirms Optimizely’s ability to execute and completeness of vision in the industry.

In the 2023 Magic Quadrant for DXP, Gartner evaluated 16 DXP providers and positioned them as a Leader, Challenger, Visionary, or Niche Player in the market. Optimizely was positioned as a Leader, essentially 2nd in the Magic Quadrant for Digital Experience Platforms.

A DXP is an integrated set of technologies designed to enable the composition, management, delivery, and optimisation of contextualised digital experiences across multi-experience customer journeys. It provides the presentation orchestration that binds together capabilities from multiple applications to form seamless digital experiences.

Optimizely’s DXP offers a broad set of digital experience capabilities that suit both customers looking for a suite approach and those that wish to mature with the platform in a modular manner. The platform includes content management, personalisation, customer data management, and analytics capabilities. Optimizely’s pricing and packaging are simple, scalable, modular, and transparent compared to competing offerings.

Bluegrass Digital CEO Nick Durrant says DXP is most often used at midsize-to-large enterprises in retail, manufacturing and distribution, high tech, healthcare, commercial services, and financial services. “It is most often used for B2C and B2B use cases. The platform is available on a subscription basis as a hybrid cloud solution, employing some SaaS components with management UIs, orchestrated around a single-tenant PaaS.”

While Optimizely continues to expand its capabilities and offerings, there are still areas for improvement. Rationalisation and integration of multiple technologies acquired by Optimizely are still lacking a unified UI, while cross-product functionality between acquired and organic products remains nascent. Furthermore, Optimizely’s lack of unified analytics reporting across the platform makes discovery of actionable insights disjointed.
