Not only did Securex South Africa 2023 welcome a record number of visitors last year, but Africa’s largest showcase of security solutions is a winner in other ways. Taking place with co-located A-OSH EXPO, Facilities Management Expo, and Firexpo 2024 at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, from 11 to 13 June, Securex South Africa 2024 recently scooped two prestigious exhibition industry awards.
“Several factors led to Securex South Africa receiving accolades from EXSA (Exhibition and Event Association of South Africa) and AAXO (The Association of African Exhibition Organisers). Competing against several other trade exhibitions, we were thrilled to be recognised as the best in our respective categories in each event,” says Mark Anderson, Portfolio Director at Specialised Exhibitions (a division of Montgomery Group).
In EXSA’s EXSA-LLENCE Awards — held on 18 January 2024 — Securex South Africa won the ‘Best Trade Show 2023’, while Specialised Exhibitions Montgomery was awarded ‘Best Organiser 2022 & 2023’, Electra Mining Africa won ‘Best Trade Show 2022’, and Propak Cape 2023 won ‘Association Award for the Best Collaboration Large Event/Exhibition’.
In AAXO’s ROAR awards, held on 29 February, Securex South Africa once again demonstrated why it’s the exhibition of choice by winning ‘Best Trade Exhibition under 6000 m2’. A ‘Certificate of Excellence in PR and Marketing’ was awarded to Propak Cape
The AAXO ROAR Awards honour outstanding achievements in the exhibition industry. Now in its fifth edition these awards serve as a prestigious platform that acknowledges excellence, innovation, and professionalism within the African exhibition industry; and this year’s awards saw an unprecedented level of participation and competition, highlighting the industry’s resilience and commitment to delivering exceptional experiences despite challenging times.
