Regent Business School proudly celebrates a major academic milestone with the graduation of its latest Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) cohort. This year’s DBA graduates have delivered research that goes beyond theoretical frameworks, offering practical, evidence-based insights tailored for high-pressure industries. A standout among them is Dr. Basi Alfred Marumo, whose doctoral research developed an innovative learning framework to enhance Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) in South African mines—a sector where safety is critical and the margin for error is razor-thin.
Dr. Marumo’s work contributes directly to the mining industry’s ongoing pursuit of zero harm, offering strategies to improve operational safety and protect thousands of underground workers. His research exemplifies Regent’s mission to produce leaders who drive measurable change across key sectors.
“Education is the great engine of personal development,” said Dr Marumo. “Business School gave me access to experienced supervisors and a curriculum aligned with the realities of my field.
